Be Well West Park: A Free 8-Week Wellness Challenge

You are invited to get your blood flowing through a free wellness program sponsored by the Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital and local businesses. Starting on June 7 at Gunning Recreation Center, 16700 Puritas Avenue, you will learn about current health trends and get motivated to stay active throughout the summer in a fun way. Everyone Enjoyed A Day of Fun at The Hooley on Kamm’s Corners™ May 13!

West Park’s 8th annual The Hooley on Kamm’s Corners™ kicked off at noon on Saturday, May 13, and ran until 8 p.m. on Lorain Avenue at Rocky River Drive. An estimated 30,000 people joined in the fun, bringing friends and family for live music, Irish dancing, festival food, family activities, and more.

Asphalt Cinema Returns with Fun for the Entire Family

Reserve the third Friday of June, July, and August for an evening of music, art, games, and prizes that ends under the stars with a family friendly movie -- all at Impett Park, 3180 West 153rd Street. The Kiwanis Club of West Park is seeking brass bands and musicians for their annual Kamm's Corners Independence Day Parade, taking place on Tuesday, July 4, from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

Saint Joseph Academy

Annual Town Meeting Set for Saint Joseph Academy on Tuesday, June 20

Our 40th Annual Town Meeting will be held in the auditorium of Saint Joseph Academy, 3470 Rocky River Drive, on Tuesday, June 20. It is free of charge and parking is plentiful. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The formal part of the evening starts at 7 p.m. and includes updates on neighborhood initiatives. Councilman Marty Keane will provide news about city-related issues. GardenWalk Cleveland Flowers

West Park Gardeners to Show Off Their Gardens on July 8 & 9 for GardenWalk Cleveland

GardenWalk Cleveland is a free, self-guided tour of private gardens, community gardens, and home orchards in four neighborhoods of Cleveland. This year, West Park will be featured with Collinwood, Detroit-Shoreway, and Slavic Village. Show off your garden by applying online here. The deadline is May 30. The walk takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both July 8 and July 9. Maps will be available on the day of the event at West Park Station, 17015 Lorain Avenue, accessible from their back parking lot.

Kamm's Corners Development Corporation (KCDC) acquired and renovated the pictured commercial building on Lorain Avenue. In keeping with many of the buiding upgrades in the neighborhood, KCDC worked with the City of Cleveland's Storefront Renovation Program staff to put together a significant exterior renovation package and is marketing the building to second floor retail, service, and office tenants.
